21.2 Francesco De la Cruz

There were like thousands of things swirling in his mind when he stood next to Mae. And about a thousand things he wanted to say. He hadn't known where to start, so he hadn't said anything after all.
But he was glad. It was no use talking about what had happened in the past. She was married, from what Rosa had told him. She even had her husband's kid adopted. She had moved on.
And so had he.
"You said you didn't want to meet her anymore", Rosa pulled him out of his pondering.
The babysitter had left."Happened we were in the same place, I didn't invite her", he said. He was done being nice and understanding, he noticed a long time ago it was no use anyhow.
"You talked to her!", she insisted.
"Barely a few words before you jumped there", he thought. He started to lose his patience.
"You keep giving me reasons!", she snapped back.
He sighed.
"You know what, I had enough", he said. "I keep trying, and trying to make you happy, and everything you do is give me hell for nothing. I'm done."
He slammed the door while leaving.
"Wait, where you're going?!", he heard Rosa yell behind him.
"You want to go to that slut?!", she had opened the door again.
He was surprised how little he cared.

Unlike for Mae, I have sympathy for Francesco. Living with a pathologically jealous person must be hell. He had no choice.

DeleteShe didn't trust him at all. You can't live with a person who doesn't trust you and thinks low on you. You just can't.

ReplyDeleteFrancesco is sooooo right. While I feel sorry for Herbert and Mariella, I don't have any sympathy for Rosa. While married to her he was true to their wedding vows and all she did was give him grief. No trust-no marriage its as plain and simple as that. Rosa didn't trust anything he did.
Right now Rosa is pissing me off so much that I wish Alejandro on her!
Thankfully their kid is young enough that this will not effect him too much. Hopefully they will come up with a friendly custody agreement.
Oh wow, that might be the most evil curse you can wish on someone :D At least with Alejandro she might have a reason to be jealous.
ReplyDeleteLuca is lucky to not be able to witness all the trouble. But I have to say that there's too much bad blood already between his parents. The chance to solve anything friendly is basically non-existant.
You are probably right. Rosa is very possessive even with the baby. Francesco wanted to change the babies diaper and takes the baby away from him. That should have been a good thing, him helping out with the baby and yet she doesn't like it. Imagine what she is going to do in a custody battle. Oh boy I hope she doesn't find out he is bi now because I can see someone like her using this against him.
DeleteYou know what I take back Alejandro being a punishment for her. She should be a punishment for Alejandro! Rosa is at the top of my Shit list now.
She definitely is possessive. And maybe Franco did the right thing not telling her everything.

I feel bad for Francesco. Rosa is awful. And poor Luca... staying with such a horrid mom.
ReplyDeleteShe's not a bad mom! Just turned out to be a horrible wife. Her anxiety and jealousy got the better of her. Sadly Francesco didn't manage to calm her down.

Well, it's not like she gave him another choice. Nobody can live with someone this insane that is constantly nasty. She may as well have pushed him through the door. Poor kid though. He's gonna grow up having a terrible relationship with his father, poisioned by Rosa's distorted views. If she even lets them have a relationship at all. Either way, I bet she will use him as a pawn for revenge. Heartbreaking.
