19.12 Mae West

Spring 1998, Schnautz residence

Mae had just listened to Linda's rant about her last date. "Oh my god, what a jerk!", she cried out.

She always had found Brian somewhat arrogant, but this was way too much.

Linda sighed. "I'm glad I broke up with him rather now than too late."

"You got better at that", Mae noticed. "You don't even look sad!"

"At first, I was", Linda admitted. "But it's no use if we want different things in life."
Then she looked like she was somewhere else for a second.

"Mae?", Linda turned back to her sister.
"Hmm?"
"What about you, do you know what you'll do now?"

Mae had to think a bit. If she was honest, she still wasn't.
But eventually, she had to figure it out.

"I'll be okay, don't worry!", she turned back to her sister with a smile.
